We are happy and proud to be able to make a difference.
As a tradition, AARO is donating to a school for orphans in Kenya, as a substitute for sending out Christmas presents to our customers.
It started in 2019 when we chose to support a school in Nchiru Children’s Village, founded by Father Francis Limo Riwa more than 20 years ago.
During these three years, our donations have contributed to sleeping mattresses and blankets, clothing, food, medicine, computers and the opportunity to expand the children’s village’s self-sufficiency with agriculture and animal husbandry.
The 2021 grant is focusing on increasing the food production to benefit the whole village with around 900 children, through establishment of solar panel-generated sprinkler systems for irrigation, which provides increased food security, as well as jobs for people in the area.
Swedish Cancer Society
In addition to AARO’s donation to the school and children’s village in Kenya in 2021, AARO’s Swedish organisation is also donating a gift for the benefit of the Swedish Cancer Society’s work with cancer research.
