AARO24 and AARO Lease IFRS 16
We release new functionality in a sequence of releases of AARO24.
This first release 24.1 has technical changes that make AARO even safer and quality assured. The technical changes are not immediately noticeable for you as a user, but are important actions and improve the foundation for future AARO releases. In addition, 24.1 holds important feature improvements and bug fixes not released in AARO23. An example is a rework of Legal Subgroup as dimension logic that will solve the issues customer were experiencing in earlier versions.
Starting from version 24.3, AARO has implemented a new OIDC (Open ID Connect) based authentication method compatible with various identity providers. Allowing the customer to through their identity provider manage authentication and credentials integrating with AARO’s username-linked authorization rights. It enables the customer to be consistent in their internal password policies and enables users to access AARO with their internal credentials. This approach will help streamline the customers access management policies. SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) protocol is also supported.
In 24.3 a rewritten AARO Lease IFRS 16 is now available – in addition to a new interface the main feature in this release is a new period logic which is now harmonized to work as AARO normal period logic with a dependency only to the Opening balance period. You as users will have full control of what periods to include your contracts and contract revisions by copying contracts. This gives you significantly improved handling and control of contract changes and allows you to perform calculations and consolidation independently in several periods. We have also introduced a new feature called Period edit settings which will enable you to take control in monthly closings by allowing or disabling edits in the lease web interface.
In the first release of rewritten AARO Lease IFRS 16, we have temporarily disabled the index functionality and automatic retirement in Excel import. Additionally, configuration with multiple share dimension and extra assets classes (leasing class) are not supported. Customers that are dependent on these features cannot upgrade to AARO 24.3, but instead wait for the version where these functionalities are reintroduced.
