As we embrace the spirit of the holiday season, it’s important to reflect on the profound impact our collective efforts can have. At AARO, our commitment to social responsibility is a cornerstone of our ethos, and it is through your continued support that we can extend our reach to those in need.
For the fifth year in a row, we continue our support for the St. Francis, St. Clare, and St. Philomena Homes for Vulnerable Children in Mery, Kenya (The Nchiru Children’s Village).
This commitment is not solely a once-a-year gesture; it’s an enduring bond that we have nurtured over the years. This includes regular visits to the village, which is approximately a 5-hour car drive from Nairobi, one way.
Our goal is to maintain and strengthen this relationship in the years to come, bringing not just financial aid but also joy and learning opportunities to the children.
The Nchiru Children’s Village, comprising three schools, continues to be a haven for around 900 orphans and vulnerable children. Our support plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of life and education for these children. As we have seen during our visits, these contributions make a tangible difference, bringing smiles, hope, and opportunities to many young lives.
In 2023, in addition to our financial contribution, we had the pleasure of providing an array of toys and recreational items to the children. Understanding the importance of play and physical activity in child development, we supplied a ping-pong table, footballs, chess sets, and other engaging toys. These gifts are intended to enrich the children’s daily lives, offer creative outlets, and bring a sense of normalcy.
We appreciate the chance to create a positive impact together.
