2024 marks a significant milestone for AARO, as we celebrate 35 years in the industry! What lies behind the success of having over 300 of Sweden’s largest groups as customers and a rising development curve both in Sweden and globally?

Starting in a small basement location on David Bagares Gata in 1989, AARO is today a market leader in Sweden with offices across three continents.

“The success of AARO is based on our true understanding and fulfillment of each customer’s unique needs. It’s not just our software that can be configured to fit all groups, but also our way of working with each customer. It’s about the people behind the product. Our team of application consultants and project managers is the key to our customers achieving their goals,” agrees Jeanette Söderberg, Consultancy Manager Sweden.

Both attentive listening to customers and consistently offering a flagship product that excels in performance are crucial. But also keeping up with changes in group reporting and the market. Emelie Carlsson, CPO, explains:

“In recent years, IFRS 16 has been a hot topic and we swiftly introduced AARO Lease IFRS 16, which took the market by storm, both in Sweden and globally! Currently, we are witnessing a similar surge in demand for sustainability reporting, where AARO seamlessly serves as the go-to tool to meet our customers’ reporting needs. Consistently aligning with our customers’ needs remains our top priority,” Emelie says.

“AARO is more than a group reporting tool; we envision our products and services as a connected ecosystem, supporting continuous growth and development in the ways our customers request. For example, we developed AARO Planning, which makes business planning much smoother. Just because our customers showed a demand”, she continues.

Jörgen Persson, CEO of AARO for many years, is proud of what has been achieved over the years.

“Our journey has been incredible. From starting as a group of system developers with a visionary idea, we managed to become market leaders in Sweden. The fact that we have always worked customer-driven is a big part of the success, just as Emelie says. Our entire service portfolio is developed to make the daily work easier for our customers.
