As the year comes to a close, we at AARO reflect on what truly makes a difference. For the sixth consecutive year, we support the Nchiru Children’s Village in Meru, Kenya – a place that not only provides safety but also creates hope for the future for approximately 900 vulnerable and orphaned children.
In 2024, employees from both Sweden and Nairobi visited the children’s village several times. During these visits, they engaged with the children, discussing the importance of perseverance and determination to succeed in life, combined with play and activities like table tennis and football – using equipment donated by AARO in previous years. These moments have not only brought joy but have also strengthened the bond between us and the village.
The Nchiru Children’s Village is more than just a safe place to live and daily meals; it is also a place where orphaned children have the opportunity to attend school and build a brighter future. We see proof of this in two of our employees, who grew up in the village and are now part of AARO – working as an IT Technician and a Technical Consultant.
By supporting the village and its activities, we see how our contributions help create meaningful opportunities for these children. We are proud to be part of this journey and to create a positive impact together with our customers.
